General Information About Our Products
Jelly Belly Jelly Beans Have a Lot Going for Them
While each Jelly Belly flavor is unique, there are several characteristics all our Jelly Belly beans share. All our candies are gluten-free, peanut-free, dairy-free, fat-free and vegetarian-friendly. Neat, right?
Certified Kosher
Great news for all who align with Kosher dietary requirements. Jelly Belly jelly beans are in! All our jelly beans and most of our confections are certified OU Kosher by the Orthodox Union.
4 Calories Per Bean
Each Jelly Belly jelly bean has a scant 4 calories. That’s right: 4 calories. That’s less than, well, almost anything! That also means a generous handful of 25 Jelly Belly jelly beans gives you 100 calories. (But tons and tons of taste!) That’s not a lot of calories in the big scope of things. And with the right rhythm, you can dance off that amount of calories in about 15 minutes.
Natural Flavors
We absolutely love natural flavors, and our customers do, too! Whenever possible, we use fine natural ingredients to flavor our Jelly Belly beans. You’ll find scrumptious natural coconut, along with fruit juice concentrates and fruit purees, like strawberry, pear and banana. We call the natural-ingredient beans our "true-to-life" flavors, and the flavor is mixed into both the center and the shell of each bean.
More Than 100 Flavors
Jelly Belly jelly beans are available in more than 100 different flavors. Woohoo!
No Gelatin
Jelly Belly jelly beans do not contain gelatin. Good news if you’re looking to avoid gelatin, for sure.
Made in a Peanut Free Factory
After two decades of tasty service, our Peanut Butter flavor was retired to make room for new flavors. This change also allowed us to transform our facility into a peanut-free factory. Be sure to check out the new peanut-free PB&J flavor!
Satisfaction Guaranteed
Your candy should reach you with amazing freshness and packaging that is in excellent condition. If not, please save any uneaten candy and its packaging, then contact us to speak with a Jelly Belly representative.
Tree Nut Warning
Although Jelly Belly does have a peanut-free facility, we do process almonds and coconut at our factory. Whether they’re manufactured in the U.S. or around the world, all of our confections are peanut-free.
How Much Does it Weigh?
Rather than try to weigh each bean, we like to weigh them out by the ounce. A total of 25 Jelly Belly jelly beans weigh approximately 1 ounce.
More Than Just Jelly Beans
While our Jelly Belly jelly beans are by far our best sellers, they’re not the only goodies our company makes. You’ll find candies for every season, mood, craving – and plain old everyday enjoyment! Some of our non-jelly-bean favorites include Candy Corn, Jordan Almonds, Licorice Bridge Mix – just to name a few.
Licensed Products For Fans Everywhere
Jelly Belly has a wide selection of licensed products available. From Harry Potter® to Sunkist®, Cold Stone Creamery® to Krispy Kreme® and more, we've got lots of cool and fun branded packages that’ll make your next party an even bigger hit.
How are Jelly Beans Made?
It takes seven to 14 days to make a Jelly Belly bean, and we're not kidding! It's an involved process carried out by master candy makers using both modern methods and age-old techniques. See how they're made, or come visit us in Fairfield, California.
Caffeine-Free Products
With the exception of our Extreme Sport Beans jelly beans and Dr Pepper beans, caffeine is not an added ingredient in any of our products. It is important to note that it is a natural ingredient in our Cappuccino and Chocolate Pudding beans.
USDA Certified Organic Products
Jelly Belly offers a USDA-certified organic line. Our organic Jelly Beans and fruit-flavored snacks are made with non-GMO ingredients, with colors and flavors from natural sources.
When do Jelly Belly Jelly Beans expire?
All of our products have a shelf life of at least one year (although they rarely stick around that long in the average household). Every package is also labeled with a "best before" date.
